Camel Art Foundation (CAF) was instituted in 1998 to bring talented artists to the limelight. The objective of Camel Art Foundations is to provide a platform for art students, amateur artists and professional artists to display their talent.

Besides getting an opportunity to display their work, the artists with the best paintings arel also rewarded with grand prizes from Camlin.
               
CAF started with western region in 1998 and completed all four regions in year 2000.

So far held 39 regional exhibitions and have received more than 30000 entries so far.

There are two categories for the participants, i.e. professionals,
 and Art College students.

There are four media in which they can participate namely Oil, Water, Acrylic Colours and Mixed media.

There is an award of Rs.25000/-  in the professional category for each medium  and five awards of Rs.10000 each in the students’ category.

The Folders giving these details are sent to all Artists and Art College. Forms are also avaliable with our dealers and also on the Camlin website.

The first selection is done on the basis of photographs.  The selected Artists are then informed to send us the original paintings.  The final  judging is done on the original paintings and with the resume of the participant. 

The  panel of judges comprises of Artists and Art faculties from the states of that particular region for a fair selection.

The selection is done

a) for the award winning entries
b) for the reproduction in the catalogue &
c) for the exhibition.

The  paintings are sold if the artist  wishes so and the entire amount is handed over to the artist.  We do not keep any commission for the foundation.

After the exhibition, the remaining paintings are returned to the artist through our  Distributors in his town. 

Euro Art Tour
Selection for the euro art tour is done from the winners of four regional art exhibition. Panel of judges are selected from three different regions based  on merit for their work in the field of art.

All regional winners  are called for personal interviews at the regional centres. Selection is done on the basis of personal interview and work done by the artists.

So far CAF has completed eight euro art tours. During this tour the winners get the apportunity to visit famous art galleries and museums in Paris, Rome and Florence.
